Compare equipment: bonuses, two-handed weapons and food

An upgrade is easier to judge side by side. The equipment tool holds two loadouts, A and B, in the game's equipment slots and shows every bonus for both with the difference beside it.

Pick items from their pages

Every wearable item's page links into the tool, and the item lands in its own slot of the loadout you are editing. Switch to loadout B to build the alternative. Both loadouts are kept in your browser and, after you sign in, in your account.

A two-handed weapon empties the off-hand

In RuneScape a two-handed weapon takes both hands, so wielding one removes whatever was in your off-hand. Open an abyssal whip with a rune kiteshield against a rune 2h sword to see what that costs.

The rune 2h sword raises main-hand damage from 672 to 1,117.5. It also lowers accuracy from 1,486 to 850, because the abyssal whip is a higher-tier weapon, and the armour from the rune kiteshield drops from 170 to nothing. Whether that trade is worth it depends on the target: more damage per hit matters less if more of the hits miss.

The tool compares bonuses. Turning them into damage per second needs the combat formulas, which are not in it yet.

Requirements against your character

Each item shows the levels it needs. Fill your character by name and the tool marks the requirements you do not meet, with a link to plan the training for each one. A noxious scythe needs Attack 90; a character at 70 gets a link straight to a training plan from 70 to 90.

Food goes with the loadout

Each loadout carries a food and how many backpack slots it takes. A shark heals 2,000 life points, so a full backpack of 28 heals 56,000. The tool prices the food at its Grand Exchange guide price and gives the coins per 1,000 life points, which makes cheap and expensive food easy to compare. Foods that heal a share of your maximum life points show that share, and foods eaten in several bites say how many.
